Meet the Founder

Kotone Hirose, the founder of Mind ACE is a sport and performance psychologist (in training) based in London.

Born in Osaka, raised in Paris, and educated in London - her background is unique. She studied classical piano in her youth and participated in several international competitions. While enjoying the greatest athletes’ stories, she found some similarities between athletes and artists. To understand the “mental aspect” of performance, she dived into the world of psychology and discovered the crucial role of mental training and well-being for a successful, long-lasting career - in any field.

After completing her undergraduate in BSc Psychology, she completed her MSc in Applied Sport Psychology and pursued the accreditation route with the British Association of Sport and Exercise Science (BASES) to become a chartered psychologist.

On top of offering mental skill training, she aspires to build her career specializing in Cultural Transition using her multicultural background. In practice - working with clients competing on the international stage, accompanying their journey abroad. As a researcher, she is looking to answer the question- how to thrive the challenges in the new environment and open the door for personal growth?

Learn about Mind ACE.

  • The reason can vary for each person: performance enhancement, managing anxiety, preparing for an important competition, interested in learning sport psych as a coach/parent or just being curious about sport psych…! Any reason is welcomed - scientific evidence has been showing for more than centuries (the oldest research was in 1898!!) that there is a psychological influence on athletic performance.

My favorite reason is that you can use the knowledge and skills in Sport psychology beyond Sport setting, anywhere and at any time in your life!

  • We offer individual consultation, group consultation, and workshops.

For the individual session, we can set the first free appointment to get to know each other and explore your strengths, areas of improvement, and what you want to work on!

For the group session, please send me the inquiry directly and we can discuss the topic together.

  • Sport and Performance psychology is widely used by athletes and performers, but also by people who work under high pressure (eg. army, doctors, pilots…). Most importantly: if you feel the mental skills (focus, resilience, relaxation, goal-setting) can help your career and lifestyle, you are welcome to knock on the door - I will open it for you!

  • I use Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy (CBT) to explore the connection between thought-action-emotion. By using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) I guide you to find out what is important in your life, how to focus on your goals, and how to develop a flexible mindset.
